Cooler Master’s $50 Elite Liquid 360 ran up to 6°C hotter on AM5 until washer fixes cut temperatures by about 5°C.

A $50 Cooler Master Elite Liquid 360 initially looked like a strong budget AIO, but testing exposed a serious AM5 mounting-pressure problem: thermal paste barely spread, and Ryzen temperatures were far worse than with some cheap air coolers. After confirming the issue with two more units, the reviewer 3D-printed washers that lowered temperatures by about 6°C. Cooler Master reproduced the results, developed a thinner washer kit that delivered an average 5°C drop, and promised free kits with proof of purchase plus a replacement bracket. The cooler has solid build quality and a quiet pump at full speed, but its fans become exceptionally loud, and variable pump speeds can also trigger loud noise. With the fix, it competes near $50; on Intel, it can offer the best 360mm AIO value at $50–$70. However, $100 T30 fans barely helped high-wattage Ryzen chips, and the reviewer still advises against AM5 use until the fix ships in retail boxes.
