The Galaxy Z Fold8 Compromise - A User Review

影片總結

The Galaxy Z Fold 8’s 7.6-inch display excels at video and comics, but $1,900, awkward typing, and lost Flex Mode make it a tough daily driver.

After several weeks with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8, the reviewer loves its reworked, compact shape: a 10:16 cover screen, a 7.6-inch inner display, and a body weighing about 200 grams. The crease is barely noticeable, and the wider screen makes YouTube, IMAX films, comics, Lightroom, and multitasking standouts. But daily use exposes trade-offs: sharp edges, an awkward fingerprint button and camera grip, no MagSafe, and a keyboard that consumes half the display unless the phone is rotated. The visible selfie-camera dot obstructs content, scaling is inconsistent, and unlike the Fold 7, the hinge cannot hold Flex Mode angles. Battery life beats the Fold 7 in lighter use but drains quickly on the inner screen; the two 50-megapixel rear cameras lack telephoto zoom and over-process photos. At roughly $1,900, the reviewer says the Fold 8 needs more polish, suggests considering a discounted Fold 7, and would not yet replace a daily phone with it.
