Corsair’s $180–$200 Warthog revives the C70’s Halo-era look, but its GPU runs hot and the Frame 4000D is a cheaper alternative.
Gamers Nexus reviews Corsair’s Warthog, a Halo-inspired throwback to the 2008–2013 PC-building era and the 2012 C70. Priced at $180 without fans or $200 for the RS with two 200 mm intakes and a 120 mm exhaust, it shares most of its chassis with the well-regarded Frame 4000D and supports free 3D-printed accessories. The rugged styling, sturdy handles, rear-I/O light, and modular pegboard tray stand out, though the frame flexes without its panels and the RS limits radiator and drive options. In noise-normalized tests, CPU temperature was 47°C above ambient and GPU temperature 48°C; at full fan speed, GPU temperature was still 47°C. The reviewer concludes that the Warthog is worth considering for its distinctive looks, not performance: the Cooler Master Half 2500 and Fractal Torrent cool better, while the Frame 4000D RS offers a similar foundation for far less—about $85 on sale.
