Terms of Service

VidGist (the "Service") provides automated AI analysis of YouTube videos, including structured content such as outlines, section summaries, video summaries, and mind maps. By using the Service, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 for EU residents) and have full legal capacity to use the Service. If you use it on behalf of an organization, please ensure you are authorized to do so.

The Service's source code, UI design, and brand marks belong to us. The video content corresponding to the YouTube URLs you submit is copyrighted by the respective video creators; we act solely as a technology provider performing the analysis and claim no rights to the original content.

AI-generated analysis results (outlines, summaries, mind maps, etc.) are derivative works based on the video content. You may use, edit, and share them for personal purposes (subject to the sharing tier controls), but any commercial reuse must comply with the copyright terms of the original video.

• Analyzing members-only / paid videos (the Service blocks this technically, but you also must not attempt to circumvent it)
• High-volume automated requests that disrupt the Service (scraping, DDoS, exceeding reasonable use)
• Using the Service to create misleading content, fake news, or content that harasses others
• Removing the watermark or source attribution from analysis results and then claiming the content as your own original work
• Reverse-engineering, or copying the entire Service to redeploy and sell it elsewhere

If you believe an analysis on the platform infringes your rights, you may submit a request through the DMCA reporting process . We will review and act on a valid notice within 5 business days of receipt.

The Service is currently in an early stage; features, pricing, and terms may all change. We will give notice of material changes by email or on-site announcement at least 30 days in advance. You may deactivate your account at any time; we also reserve the right to suspend the Service for abuse or legal reasons.

AI analysis results may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Service is provided "as is," with no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the analysis. For important decisions, please verify against the original video content.

We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability is limited to the fees, if any, you paid to the Service over the preceding 12 months.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any disputes shall be subject to the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.

Paid plans are sold directly by this Service. Payments are processed by our payment service provider 藍新金流(NewebPay); card details are stored by the provider under payment-card industry security standards and never pass through our servers. A subscription is your authorization at checkout for the provider to charge your card automatically on the agreed cycle; once the authorization reaches its final period (for example when the card expires) no further charges are made and you would need to subscribe again.

Subscriptions renew automatically on the billing cycle you choose (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. To cancel, use "Cancel subscription" in your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — you keep full access to the plan until then, after which you are no longer billed and the plan returns to Free.

Credits: your plan's monthly credits are window-based — they reset each month and do not roll over. Purchased credit packs are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Credits are only charged for operations that complete successfully; failed or cancelled operations are not charged.

Subscription refunds: subscription payments are non-refundable once charged, including any unused days in the current period. We provide free trial credits on sign-up and publish full feature and pricing details, so please evaluate the Service before subscribing; if you no longer need it, cancel as described above to stop further renewals.

Credit pack refunds: a completely unused credit pack may be refunded within 7 days of purchase, less a 20% handling fee. Packs with any credits already spent are not refundable. Email service@vidgist.app with your order number and payment date; once confirmed, the refund goes back to the original card.

Nothing in this policy limits rights granted to you by mandatory law.

Note for consumers in Taiwan: this Service constitutes digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, or an online service completed upon supply. Under the applicable Taiwanese regulations on reasonable exceptions to the right of withdrawal in distance selling, the statutory 7-day cooling-off period does not apply once you consent at checkout. Consumers elsewhere whose local law grants a right of withdrawal for digital content are subject to the terms they accept at checkout.

Receipts and invoices: we comply with the tax laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.). If you need a receipt or uniform invoice, email service@vidgist.app and we will provide one according to our tax registration status at the time.
