Features
Translate to other languages (language versions)
What this is
After an analysis finishes, you can read the same video's result in other languages. No matter how many languages a video has, they all live in one card — open it and use the language switcher.
Switching languages
- On the result page, the title bar has a 🌐 Language switcher (on both the website and the browser extension).
- Open it to see the languages this video already has; click any one to switch the view.
- To make this card open in a specific language by default, click ☆ next to that language (editable languages only).
Adding a language: Translate vs Re-analyze
Under "Add a language" you can add a new language for this video in two ways:
- Translate: translates the existing result over — much cheaper, but the result is read-only (for viewing).
- Re-analyze: analyzes the video natively in that language, producing a full editable, shareable version (costs more, but skips re-transcribing).
An existing read-only translation can later be "Re-analyzed" to upgrade it into an editable version.
Cost
- The first translation of each video is free. Translating that same video into additional languages later uses a small number of credits (based on video length).
- Converting between Traditional and Simplified Chinese is always free (and doesn't use up that free translation).
- Once a language version exists, switching back to view it again is free.
- Re-analyzing is charged by video length (it skips re-transcribing, so it's cheaper than the first analysis).
Already analyzed it, then submitted in another language?
We detect that you've already analyzed this video and guide you straight to the existing card, where you can add the language from the switcher — no duplicate card is created.
Have several cards for the same video? Merge them
If you previously created several cards for the same video (one per language), hover a card in the library, open the ⋯ menu at its top-right, and choose Merge duplicate versions. The others are merged into this card as language versions, and you can then switch between them from this card's language switcher. Cards whose language already has a version are not merged (delete those instead).
